Christophe Pillet designed a bed called Dreamland Platform Bed  and this bed is a great example of modern bedroom furniture. Bed Project : Floating Drawer Bed

This is a bed project made by Scott Sykor and he made this project because he wanted to design and build a simple bed frame which would allow him to conserve space in his room. This bed is called Floating Drawer Bed. The outer frame is made using 1×3 boards of maple and the drawer box is constructed using furniture grade plywood. The outer frame comes apart for easy transportation and the drawer set solved all my clothing storage needs. The most interesting part of this project is the illusion of the drawer set suspended in midair, a really cool effect that can draw a lot of attention. How do you think about this?

This platform bed is made from a very sustainable wood with a beautiful grain and that is bamboo. The design is low, with a slight separation from the ground to give the appearance of floating for this bed. The base is sized just larger than the mattress so the mattress sits flush with the edges of the base for a light, sleek look with no wasted space. It also have an optional cut out for storage at the foot of the bed. The headboard is standard and provides a very usable space to set items on, as well as an optional drawers that sit flush for minimal visual impact when closed. How do you think about it?
